Executive Summary
This study presents an analysis of operations consulting rate structures for clients across a number of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotech, high tech, communications, energy, financial services, public services, and metals and mining.
More than 85 percent of the rate structures were from global entities, and all were from organizations that fall within the 1,000 largest global organizations. Rates from 75 firms were analyzed across the operations consulting category, including a total of 126 firm-rate structures.
This report presents statistics across 15 professional classifications, including a percentile analysis for each labor class. Rates from firms that were a subject of this analysis for the operations consulting rate category included: Accenture, ADL, A.T. Kearney, Bain, BCG, Booz&Co, Capgemini, Celerant, CSC, Deloitte, Huron, IBM, McKinsey, PA Consulting, PRTM, and PwC.
Introduction
This report provides the Monadnock Research analysis of operations consulting category hourly rates from a comprehensive study of negotiated client rates across a number of industries. The analysis presented in the following sections profiles rates from 75 firms, including 126 rate structures.
The "Operations Rates by Category of Professional" section provides detail on rates for each of the 15 professional categories for which operations consulting rates were analyzed. Each section presents descriptive statistics for the professional area, including its mean, median, mode, standard deviation, sample variance, kurtosis, range, minimum, maximum, and the number of rate structures analyzed. Each labor area also contains a percentile analysis of rates from firms proposing hourly rates for the operations consulting services category.
The "Operations Rates by Firm Specialization" section presents rates by category of professional for firms who are best known for their capabilities as operations, strategy, and technology and outsorcing. It also includes operations rates for the Big Four.
The "Professional Qualifications by Consulting Labor Category" section contains information on the Monadnock Research consulting labor categories for which rates have been reported and analyzed. Refer to the "Sample and Methodology" section for additional details on study participants.
